Card Condition Guide

Card Condition Guide

We grade all cards honestly. No surprises when it arrives. Here's what each grade means:

NM — Near Mint

What it means: Card was pulled, sleeved immediately. No visible wear to the naked eye.

You'll see: Sharp corners. Perfect centering. Clean surface. Maybe one tiny imperfection under magnification.

Price point: Premium — this is the gold standard.

LP — Light Play

What it means: Played once or twice, or carefully stored with minor handling.

You'll see: Slight edge wear (corners rounded a bit). Maybe light surface creasing under light. Centering still good.

Price point: Sweet spot — nice condition, fair price.

MP — Moderately Played

What it means: Saw regular play. Visible wear but still totally collectable.

You'll see: Rounded corners. Visible creasing or scuffing. Some edge fading. Centering may be slightly off.

Price point: Budget-friendly. Great for bulk lots or deck-builders.

HP — Heavy Play

What it means: Hard used in a deck. Serious wear but still recognizable and playable.

You'll see: Heavy crease/bend marks. Significant surface wear. Corners heavily rounded. Possible stains or discolouration.

Price point: Cheap. For bulk, customs, or spare deck copies.

DMG — Damaged

What it means: Severe damage — creases, tears, water damage, or major stains.

You'll see: Visible tear, deep crease, water warping, or permanent discolouration.

Price point: Very cheap. Art/craft projects, not play or collection.

Our Grading Promise

We grade conservatively. If we're unsure, we grade one step lower. Better you get something nicer than expected than the opposite.
